I'm so pissed! Dam Drunks

Last night around 1:30am I heard my alarm go off, so I ran out to see my passenger window all smashed. I saw a drunkin looking fool get into his cheepass corrola and take off. Naturally I ran back in the house to get my keys and I went to get him. I managed to find him a few blocks away stopped at the side of the road. I called the police and waited for them to get there. When the cops got there they checked the car and no one was in it. Just some empty beer bottles and school notes along with a side mirror he probably ripped off when he hit a suv across the street from my house. Dam I'm so pissed!

Took me an hour to get rid of all the smashed glass. And all he stole from my car was a $15 Maglite. I'd like to smash his face in! Anyways just thought I share this unforturnate VW experience.

Don't people know how much our dubs mean to us? Take care of your dubs.

but if they caught him can't you get the money for a new window? (im not trying to invalidate your complaint at all) i just wanna know if its gonna be alright...?....

maan, that is f()|<3d up!!!
I hope his insurance will cover it, either that or take him to small claims court for the money....
i don't know how his insurance could cover it... never mind.... i'm tired.
take the [email protected]$$ to court... it only costs like $20 to file depending upon what state you are in, and you'll most certainly win, especially if you get a police report and can show his citation.

Same thing happened to me, smashed my window for a $40 dollar shift knob. Cost was 300 to fix.

not that I would do this, but you know where he lives and what his car (or his hoodlim friends car) is. I don't know, but I think that body/paint work is more expensive than replacing a window, so if you are driving by make sure not to "drop" a large rock out of your hand. And be careful if you carry a knife, you wouldn't want to hit a bump in the road while walking and slip and accidently cut his sidewall.

from what he said i dont think they caught them yet. he said the car was empty. hopefully it wasnt a stolen car. if so then its almost a dead end. if its not stolen rape them for all you can

Man, that bites!!! Well, you could do something to make up for what that idiot did to your car or you could subscribe to the theory, "what goes around comes around".....and know that he will get what he has coming to him.
On an empathetic note, heck, ya, I hear ya when it comes to loving my VW - if I saw someone doing that to my car I'd be pretty choked - my sympathies to you.
I'm sure if the guy was a VW owner, he wouldn't have pulled a stunt like that; we VW owners have way more class than that.
