I just picked up a dash from a rolled A3 jetta for nothing from a friend of mine and was wondering whats involved in swapping it into a 1990 jetta GLI? Does it have to be cut at all, mounting points, what about the climate controls? anyone have pictures of the completed swap or have pictures of the swap in progress?

the best way is to use everything...all da a3 wiring...knobs, heater core, blower assembly, brackets, crossmember, steering column, steering column bracket w/peddle...then just trim the dash to fit, make an template on a cardboard or something of the mk2 firewall where the dash hits and try to trim like so...i can't comment too much cuz I'm workin on it as well...gotta get my car painted first tho
