Ok guys, don't string me up if theres already a thread about this. I searched and didn't find any.
Is there a good injector upgrade for a CIS 8v? I read something in GRM a few years ago, but can't remember what it was.

Check the forced induction forum, some of those guys have really tweaked their CIS systems.

Fuel injectors on a CIS system do not do much except spray the fuel. The fuel dist. is the item that will allow more fuel to the engine. Sounds like snake oil if there is a magic injector upgrade to make massive power. If the injectors are no good then replace them with stock one. IMHO

Not aware of any injector upgrades, as already posted the injector only sprays fuel.
Per "Bosch Fuel Injection & Engine Management" plain old CIS is good to 175 horsepower. So unless you are knocking on that power output, you are fine.

I'm in the process of checking this out too. I've heard from reliable sources that there is. Maybe I'll be headed over to the forced induction forum too. Think about all the cars that used Bosch k-jet fuel injection (cis). Volvo, porsche,saab, vw, bmw etc etc. Not all these cars used 1.8l motors. Bigger displacement = more need for fuel. So somewhere out there is a cis injector that flows more cfm than stock vw 1.8l right?

The fuel injector is much like putting your thumb over a garden hose. You are restricting the flow of the water but not really that much. Turn on the garden hose more and more water comes out. Your thumb is there just to spray the fuel. Yeah the fuel injector will be the blockage if your running a bunch of fuel but none of you guys would run that kind of HP [each injector can run about 100 hp of fuel, that would be 400 hp in a 1.8, sounds cool but I would have removed CIS about 150 hp ago]. Just my opinion.
