Just got my fk kit wonderin if its hard to install. Someone told me the fronts are pain in the neck and the backs are easy. I don't know if this guy knows what hes talking about.

Easy as pie. As long as you have the following:
-atleast 2 jack stands
-trolley jack
-impact wrench
-spring compressor (not totally necessary)
-spreader tool
-some good lube spray like liquid wrench.

Fronts are harder then the rears but it's really nothing.

I'm thinking about doing suspension soon too...
What is the spreader tool? If its a VW speciality tool, is there anything that can be used in its place, or something make-shift?

i've done mine a bunch of times without the tool, without an issue. i've used a prybar, a big flathead screwdriver, or even a modified allen wrench.
