Installed Bilstein, check brake light came on??

I just installed a set of Bilstein shock and now my check brake light is on.. What cause this problem? Can I reset it or I need to go to dealer to have it check?

I had the same problem. It'll go away in a few days, then come back on and off. There is a sensor on the brakes that is connected by wires for the brake pads. Check to see that they are connected. If not, try a stealership.

I had the same problem when I installed my coilovers. When we were working on the left front, we somehow broke the wires connected to the brake wear sensor.

I went to the dealship and they said that the pads had to be replaced in order to fix it. So, because my car only has 9000 miles on it, I'm just going to deal with the light being on until I replace the pads or until I can figure out how to bridge the wires on the sensor. I was told by a tech at the dealership that that would work.

When i installed my lowering springs, i noticed that one of my ABS sensors was cracked. I didn't get any lights, but i did get it replaced under warranty.

If you jump the wires to the brake sensor the light will go off. Do that.

you might have snap the brake sensor wire. Check the driver side front wheel.
you can just extend the wires.. and make it weather proof.
the Part in the dealler will cost you around $150.
and you don't need to chenge the PADS.. while doing the it.
take a look.
