[99 Jet3 2.0]

going to install factory fogs in my jetta gl. heard something like "my car is prewired for them." is this true??....how can i tell??..if not what do i need???...i'm ordering from parts4wv.com and they have a wiring kit also. is this what i'll need if it isn't wired already?

being prewired... that is true... just plug the fogs to the harness, and the harness into your light harness... good luck

How does one get the fogs? What about a switch or do they only come on with the headlights?

i'm ordering from http://www.parts4vw.com...they got the euro switch. i plan on getting that too. anyone deal with putting that in?? how'd it go??

you're gonna need fog lights, a fog switch, a fog relay (110), and a fog harness... fog dummies are optional

You really don't even need the relay, all it is for is so your fogs turn off when you turn your brights on. You can probably get a jumper from Potters when you order the kit, or you can make one one you own with a 1.5" piece of wire and two spades. When you are looking at the plug in, the two receptacles you want to put it in are shaped like an "L". Good luck!

if you got the euro switch, it came with some jumper.

or you can get a 30A relay from Radio Shack for 5 bucks and it allows highs with fogs http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
