What is the difference between these 2 instrument cluster part numbers?
1HM 919 910D
1HM 919 910M
The first one is in my 1996.5 VW Golf, and malfunctioning (speedometer only), but when I put the second one in, it does not work (speedometer and tachometer).
Anyone have any idea why?

i was hearing that it could be OBD1, and mine is OBD2, but this would disprove that... ugh... now i'm really confused...
