intake question

guys i need to see some pics of cold air intake for 85-87 mk2's cause my buddy just bought a cold air intake and wants me to install it but i dont know where to put his fuel distributor thats built onto the air box if i remove the air box.now i have a corrado so it was easy for me...all help is appretiated

if you mean bumper style cold air intake it cant be done on a cis car cause of the hoses. i believe all you can do it run an extension of the airbox... most people just gut their box and run a k&n on a cis injection 8v

Tell him to take the intake back and be refunded his money.
You can't put an intake on a car with CIS injection. The fuel distributor is mounted on the top of the airbox and it's not goin anywhere.
Tell him to look on the Eurosport website for the 16v/CIS intake. It's a piece that replaces the bottom half of the airbox.
