I have one, it came on the car so it's not like i bought it. I dont think it does much except make noise. I had K&N drop in filter on my gti before that i totaled and it was better in my mind and you could still hear the noise some.
Thanks for all the help Guys http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif, I'll stay with my panel filter
A CAI will give improvement and costs allot less than P-Flo. I originally bought a P-Flo when I got car. It helps when you first start car and drive, but once engine bay gets hot, it actually hurt my performance because it was just sucking in hot air. (Yeah that stupid heat shield doesn't work for squat.) So it became a Hot Air Intake.
Buy an actual Cold Air Intake and you will notice a difference. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
And surprisingly, it even helps the 1.8T's. They dyno'd a bunch of CAI in Euro Tuner magazine about a year ago, and it did improve performance in the 1.8T. It actually had better results than the NA cars. The AEM in my VR6 24V got 4hp gain almost acrossed the whole range during the dyno in their magazine.
