which a1 cars came with nice black interiors?i have the gross red in my 84 gti and i want to get black door panels,black pillar covers,and some other little pieces.could someone point me in the right direction please.

I don't think I have ever seen a black interior in an 81 or newer rabbit. You may be able to find cabriolet parts for some of what you are looking for.

yeah,i thought cabbys came with black interior but i wasnt sure.i guess im of to the junk yards.

Even on the older cars, black interior seems pretty rare. My '79 came with it. The original sales brochure shows that only one exterior color, yellow, was available with black interior.

everythink that is plastic, vinyl or leather can be painted or dyed.

do you have any pics?what should i do about the door panels?the ones i have are pretty trashed.also im getting a headliner from my work for $34,its midnight blue,almost black.

Do you folks (Russell) have any other A-1 headliners in stock? Would you ship? I'm looking for a vinyl type headliner (I'm looking for something that won't clash terribly with Red).

You can get a black dasj from jetta or cabby fairly easily, black carpet from TMI, black door panels from TMI, seats recovered, and then the misc parts you can spray with paint. This is what I did minus the panels.. had them recovered with pretty inserts

TMI is a company that makes stuff for VWs. I also have their carpet kit in my pickup, real nice.
I've got a black Jetta interior in my pickup. sprayed the original tan A-pilars black.
