Is 205/50/16 OK to run on an A3 golf lowered 1.5" (no coilovers)

I ask, as I don't see it listed in Eric's post.
There's 205/40 and 205/45........but no 205/50.
Is this because it throws off the speedo and stuff? Or because there are issues with rubbing?
I need to know, as I have 2 good 205/50's, and would love to only buy 2 new tires, as opposed to 4 in a different size.

Yes' or No's would be enough

205/50 would throw the speedo off. 205/45 is what you are after. And as long as your wheels have an offset of around 37, they'll go fine without any rubbing.
So, in other words: No.

front wheels have an offset of 35mm
rear have one of 22mm

so aside from speedo error, there will be physical problems caused by the extra OAD which I have figured at 24.1"?
It lists an OAD 23.8" for 215/40/17, and there are people that run 18"s and 19"s, correct?
Wouldn't they be at least 24.1" OAD or greater?
