Re: Is bentley repair manual on Cd-rom worth it?? for Golf IV!! (VW_GOLF_MK4)

Half of either the cd or the book is wiring diagrams. I bought the book recently for $60 and I read through it when i got it that night and I actually sent it back for a refund. I didn't feel like it was worth it. It's a big book. About 1-1/2" thick.

If you plan on playing around with your car then it is a great source. If your just going to do general maintenance and mods already performed then dont bother.

Get the book if you don't ever plan on doing a quiaffe install because the book has nothing on the tranny disassebly and reassembly.
If you can get both I have then both the book is easier to use but missing some real important stuff that you don't realize until you need it. Cd has it all.

Do they show you how to take apart the radio, dashboard, center console, door panels etc.? I want to put a multimedia system in the car with small monitors in the rear headrests and it would be a lot easier to run wiring if I could take stuff apart.
If not, Crutchfield has a Master Sheet info list that'll show this info.
Maybe I can also get rid of some of those damn rattles.
