It doesn't really seem that low, but the cat sits 3" off the ground, and I hit both the oil pan and the cat driving into a steep under building parking garage last night, and knocked the cat se hard I have an exhaust leak now. I'm worried. How much does it cost to have straight pipe welded in?
WILL SHOPS EVEN DO IT?
im almost 4inches under stock.. ive never really had a problem you cant really drive like "normal" i guess you could say.. keep an eye out for obsicles and give your self time to get places cuz sometimes you have to go slow.. i know there is construction on the road by my school.. so i had to give my self 10 extra min. in the morning to go a different route.
I do not think you will be able to find a shop that will weld straight pipe in. I was looking to have it done to my car because i messed up my cat and i couldnt find a shop to do it. It is illegal in washington to not have a cat on your car and shops can get screwed if they take it off you car...hope all works out for you..
matt
yeah thats the way it is in Ohio too. i had to have pipe replaced in the rear section of my Prelude a few years ago, and when i was explaining what needed done, the guy started to freak out cause he thought i was talking about removing the cat. muffler shops are very very scared of our government.
