is stock CR faster than lowered CR on turbo motor?

I was just think about my x-flow motor, would 8psi with a t3 on stock CR be the same or faster than a lowered compression motor with 8psi...

I know you wouldn't lower compression for 8psi..lets say 9

From what I understand, yeah it would be a little faster with the higher CR because you have more offboost power. But if something goes wrong or the engine is not properly tuned with the higher CR things will go wrong, very wrong. A lower CR running the same boost will give you more room for error, and be more reliable in the long run (less stress). I say lower the CR now, because even though you say you will run only 8 psi, you will want more later, and this will allow you the flexability to do so.

the higher C/R one wiill yeild more power im raising the C/R in my G60 from 8:1 to 9:1

Yeah, but with lower qaulity fuel the Knock sensor will pull back way to much timing. So Yes hi-Comp @ the same boost pressure will have more power. But less margin for error when you are running the ragged edge. 8-9 psi stock fueling with a Rising rate FPR on a say a 2.0T like mine is running the ragged edge sorry to say. With a programmable EMS it's a whole different ball of wax though. Check out this link http://www.turbofast.com.au/TFcompB.html it has some java script for a worksheet for compression under boost ie: you can work out the figures and find that @ hi-compression w/ 10 psi you have approx the same cylinder pressure @ 14psi w/ low compression. Remember everything is related! Fueling, ignition timing, ambient heat, intercooler efficiency etc all has a effect how much timing advance and or boost you can run in the end.
