Theres enough articles going around that I'm sure everyone is aware of the programs problems right now, So whats the consensus here? We all know its dependent on Emirates, but to make it easier on here, Im going to make it a simple yes or no poll, anything else can be addressed in the comments.

Emirates just placed another order, so alive for now...
I wonder what kind of discount they got on that order.... 20 aircraft is a low number for Emirates, and they like to keep their aircraft 10 years or less, so many of these will be replacement aircraft. To me it seems like Emirates threw the hail mary pass to airbus, but whether or not they still win the game is yet to be determined.

I could see a situation 5 years from now where all off lease A380's end up getting scrapped.

This is a really interesting study on aircraft and airline fuel efficiency, and what really astounded me was that the A380, came in BELOW the 747-400, 747-8i and just above the 747-400er. Now Im sure this has something to do with capacity and not being full, but it doesn't bode well for the aircraft in the long run.

Well its official, The A380 program wraps up in 2021, although I wouldnt be surprised if its even sooner. Even though Emirates kept 20 or so A380's on their order books, with almost no resale value on the aircraft I wouldnt be surprised if they end up deferring those orders as well.
