Actually, the Mini weighs in at 2314 lbs. and has a power to weight ratio of 1hp:20lbs. That would put it at a sizeable advantage over a Golf 2.0L.
An even more impressive match is gonna be the 1.8T against the Mini S which is turbo and rated at 163hp. It has a power to weight ratio of 1hp:15lbs and weighs in at 2469lbs. Now if I'm correct, isn't that close to a Porsche 911 power to weight ratio? Talk about being nailed to the seat when flooring the throttle!
