Re: Is there a way to lock the doors while driving? (zarman)

this is a question i've always wanted to know..it seems like it would be a safety thing and the doors should lock..it's always kind of scary when a bum/scary person is on the side walk while you are stopped and your doors aren't locked and can't lock!

quote:

Mine works sometimes when i push the driver side down and the pass side goes down...however not all of the time. Sport What Luxury Coupe!

Same with me. If I start the car with the door open and then I shut the door after that, I can press the lock down and everything will lock. I hate starting the car with the door closed and I have to go get gas
. The damn gas tank stays locked
. Gotta turn the car off while refueling
. Damn Rado, lazy me

I feel you. Move where I live and you'll probably overlook that fact
. Nevertheless, you made a good point. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: Is there a way to lock the doors while driving? (Que Aleman)

on both my rados its just to push the knob down on the drivers siden..
the must funny thing is if u sit in the car and lock it with ie an alram remote so it locks the door, then try to get the knob back up with ur fingers... absolutely impossible

so it sure makes it hard for someone to get ur car thowed(?) away if u park somewhere its not allowed..

I tend to do the left elbow thing on mine, too.
My power locks are broken
, but the gas tank still locks.

And you know what? After some confusion about wether or not we were supposed to be pushing down the lock pins to lock the doors, I checked the manual, and it says that we're supposed to. It's how you lock the car, seeing as VW didn't see fit to give us a button...

I plan on doing a custom switch that will work only with the key in. As soon as it gets warmer! I'll record the process and post it. I want to be able to lock and unlock both doors including the gas cap door and the trunk.
