second ecu for 342 shipped and giac latest verison installed for 405 so all together 747... is that a good price for a chip and ecu for a 2001 jetta 1.8t aww?

Sure is. Sometimes you find someone selling a already chipped ECU on here though.
Just a week or so ago I saw a used ECU for ~$200.
I think 9vws23years is selling a chipped ECU.

cool i just feel safe going with all new stuff and so i was wondering what people thought of those prices.
