I know this a little off topic...but the wheel and tire forum is just so slow to respond sometimes...not to mention, the guys that hang over here tend to be more technical anyway.
So the question is: is the wheel camber adjustable on any model VWs (Mk1, Mk2, Mk3, Mk4)?? Thanks. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Front is by loostening the strut bolts and playing with it a bit. Smaller bolts are available to get more adjustment out of it. If you still need more, camber plates are available, but usually take out the upper strut bushing, which makes for a harsher ride.
Rear can be done with shims, such as those from Shine Racing.
What you up to this time?

No, it's not for me. It's concerning my mom's Golf 4... We had the frontend aligned and the guy that did it said he had to drill something out of the control arm (??) so he could slightly adjust the camber.
I had always heard that the camber wasn't really adjustable on these cars. I don't know the details of what he did, but it drives as straight as an arrow now though. Maybe I should crawl under there myself and take a look at what he did.
Thanks for the reply. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Oh.. I don't think it's easily adjustable on the Mk4's as it was on the earlier cars. My buddy's Mk4 Golf has alot (3 or so deg) of neg camber on the front due to lowering. I don't know what they changed but it's a pain in the rear.
Much luck though!
