Hi,
Do all Phaeton's have isofix on the front passenger seat? The manual suggests that it's there, but I can't find it on mine - any ideas? Thanks.

No vehicle (except two-seat vehicles) is ever equipped with child seat attachment points on the front passenger seat. AFIK that is a government safety standard.

I don't think so, my wife's Cayenne is fitted with isofix in the front seat.

Glad to see someone post with direct evidence. Until I found the pdf file that I originally posted in this thread, i too thought Isofix would not be installed in a front passenger seat as did Michael. However, the file clearly shows that it is done and not just in 2 seaters. I assume the front passenger airbag is more sophisticated than in the old days. I'd expect the warnings still note greater safety if installed in the rear seats.

What next, do we find Isofix in the driver's seat?

I see. Our cars are almost like EU cars with minor additions but different than NAR spec.

In our GCC spec. cars, warning stickers are there to remind the driver to switch off the air bag if there is a child passenger in the front. Also the manual explains how to adjust everything for children in the front passenger seat. Also the manual recommends the rear seats for young passengers whenever possible.
