I tried posting this before, and it seems not have gone through--forgive me if its a double post!
I was looking through the carsdirect pricer at Jettas. The glx 24 valve with
destination comes to $27,375! That's only about $500 less than a 325i.
Granted, the jetta has a few more features, BUT the standard bmw suspension
is probably better than the jetta's anyways, and adding a sunroof or the
premium package only addas about $1 to $2k.
I'm curious whether other people think that this pricing strategy is too much.
I just can't see buying a Jetta when I could get a bimmer for a hair more,
or an is300, or an A4 (the 4 cylinder with manual starting at under $25k,
leaving money left over for options!).
Your ideas?
