Jetta rear seat: How many and how interchangable?

While looking up a part for my friends Passat in my (old) EKTA, I glanced through the Jetta section. Huh, there's a rear seat back with an arm rest...coool!
Okay, several days pass...
Going through the 'tex I see a post where someone has a 60/40 back. Neat!
Now my questions are what rear seat options were available for the Jetta and -- most importantly here
-- are they easily interchangable/swapable?
Though the rear arm rest is neat (hmm, wonder if I could graft that into my Squareback?...) I would much rather have the split seat back than my current, solid seat back (yes, it folds down but that's it
).

I added a Jetta GLX rear to my sport. Black leather with head rests, arm rest and a 60/40 split!! The seat went straight in, no modification at all.

My '95 Jetta GL had the 60/40 rear seat with the fold-down armrest.
To change your seat to the 60/40 split, you'll need the seats, and a $7 bracket that they pivot on.

My Golf GL has the 60/40 but no armrest. But I don't care about the armrest since I never sit back there.
The 60/40 is damn nice though, esp because I haul around a lot of people and crap.

My car has a 60/40 split with an arm rest. No one ever uses it though because the rear seat is cramped enough as it is. There is about 6 inches of leg room behind my seat.
If it weren't for the fact I love the Jetta's styling, I might as well own a GTI.

golves did not come with armrests
not that it's a huge deal to me, the only good thing about the armrests is that you can stick ski's and whatnot through it, instead of having to fold down the rear seat completely. even having the roof rack, sometimes it's nice to keep everything inside the car and cut down on the wind resistance and NOISE from that damn rack. plus, i'm too tall to drive with the rear seat folded down! how sad!

i also meant to say, as far as *I* know... most MK3 seats (jetta, golf, gti, cabrio) should bolt right up on one another. did someone say this already? ehh oh well.
someone correct me if i'm wrong on this!!

Don't forget the two allen bolts for the bottom half of the seat, and to take the plastic cover off the holes where those two bolts attach the other to clips from the seat frame...
