Jason, why not just make your own all-red tails using Testors Candy Apple Red transparent spray paint. I used that and a couple coats of clear on my tailights and they turned out great. Testors also makes a transparent black if you wanted to try tghe tinted look too.
M3 style Jetta lights are now available through http://www.memoimports.com
i've got some, but i have yet to get pics. hopefully soon. i just got the all clear tails and sprayed them with red trans and then tinted that. turned out ok.
on some site i found clear tails for 85 bucks USD. ( i don't know where, i lost all my favorites in a recent reformat). i bought mine from a shop in cali which costed me 130 USD shipped.
The only decent ones are the Hella Half-tinted.
The one from Memo Imports are junk. I know some of you guy have bought them and are reasonably happy with them but when I got mine I was so dissapointed. No way I was going to kep them.
I agree. They are factory quality and look good. If youre lucky maybe you'll find a decent deal. I scored a set in the classifieds for $100 and they are in like new condition.
Cheapest I have seen them brand new is $220 from Rapid Parts.
A lot of people will tell you to do you own. You can try it but personally I am much happier with the Hella ones than any of the home tint jobs i've tried myself, and seen on other cars.
