Jetta Twist? what is it?

My girl was at the dealership yesterday having the 15K service
done on the passat. I told her to walk around the lot and say
'hi' to all the R32's on the lot for me. When she came home,
she said they had a couple of Jettas on the lot that had
a rear badge that said 'twist' instead of 1.8t or any other badge.
Anyone else see this? She saw it at Mikan VW in Butler, Pennsylvania.
just wondering if it was done by the dealer or is there some other
option package out there right now?

maybe it is a dealer specific thing?
i remember one kid who bought a "20th anni Jetta"
from a dealer in canada. It was a jetta w/ a body kit
and Aristos on it. And i think the dealer just rebadged it...
but i was curious if this is a legit release by vw or just the
dealer....hmmmm
unfortunately, i didn't see the window sticker, so i don't know
what kind of equipment is on the car.

Weird. I did a google for "jetta twist" and found this:

NEW JETTA TWIST EDITION - now available!
An exciting sports edition with alloy wheels, trunk spoiler and chrome exhaust tips. Contact your local Pittsburgh area Volkswagen dealer today for details.

Don't see any mention on http://www.vw.com. Looks like a dealer-installed options package, perhaps?

Certain dealers in certain regions will install VW equipment and give the car another badge.
When I used to work for Daimler Chrysler (Dodge) the 300M would get a trunk spoiler, rear bolt on apron, gold exhaust tips and gold trim, gold vinyl pinstripes and Chrome wheels (HIDEOUS LOOKING CAR) but they renamed it with a few stick on letters, the Chrysler 300M-XLTD

Must be a dealer specific thing...my local dodge dealer in 00-01 had made a handful of real nice durango "python" packages...very cool truck...ram air hood, intake, full catback exhaust, chrome wheels mesh grills and much more...they were killer looking tucks and i'm pretty sure only certain dealers made them.

i thought the Twist had something to do with a tasty hint of lemon. Like Pepsi Twist?

Ok, so a Jetta Twist like a Pepsi Twist is a silly thing. But does anyone else think a Jetta Clear like a Pepsi Clear would be cool? Think Wonder Woman and her invisible jet!

It's not nationwide, it's that dealer only.

Actually, from reading the ad, it is area wide promotion. All dealers in Pittsburgh should be selling it. A few years ago there was a Chicago special edition golf, 4dr. with alloy wheels and ugly graphics.
