I am going to get a jti conversion and i am trying to figuere out what kind of price ranges i should be looking for...does any1 who has done this or know any1 who has had it done know how much it cost for the complete donverion labor included????????

find a jetta.. swap them yourself. That way labor costs maybe a pizza and 5-6 hours of your time.. But.. if you had to do it without a jetta.. i would go all out.. Jetta HID's ($1500) or atleast E-codes ($300) and then Carbon Fiber hood ($700-1000), Votex bumper painted (600-1000) and then fenders.. not sure about that.. maybe 3 to 400.. But if you just wanted a GLS front with lights.. you might be able to scrap from vortexers for under $1000..

what bout if i find some and that wants a golf front end on his jetta and we trade hwo much do u think it will cost then........( consider that this will be done with a body shop not a friend)?????

at a body shop it would be ~6 hours*labor rate.....

do it yourself.. i dont consider myself tool savvy and we did it.. It was fun, and we got to know our cars better..

ducky did it involve any cutting or welding, i thought someone said that when they did the conversion its was a beotch cause you had to cut and weld, i figured id ask you since you did it yourself

well we used a blow torch to heat up the under coating... that was the only iffy part.. everything else is just bolt/screw off and bolt/screw back on.. even the undercoating wasn't bad.. down by the door with the fender liners out.. you just heat it up and have someone pull as you heat it.. and it comes right off..

go outside and look at the underneath of your car.. they spray this rubbery stuff the same color as your car.. or maybe it is silver on all the cars.. if you feel it, it is bumpy and crackly.. the undercoating protects your car from evil road gunk.. it can be cut with an exacto knife.. or any knife really.. we chose the flame way..

see right above the jack stand.. the under coating overlapped onto the fender .. right around where that black spot is..

It costs way to much and there are too many JTI's and Jolfs around.

Just kidding if you don't need to paint it is free.

word thanks ducky, alrigh teah tdi has a point there is alot of jolfs popping up, what about a passat front end or even a beetle front end

psyke, i still might do the jolf conversion just cause i went to a gtg last night and i saw like 7 other cars taht are the exact same as mine, and i have only seen a couple of jolfs
