DO YOUR TIMING BELTS @ THE SCHEDULED INTERVALS!!!
I just got done installing a NEW engine in a '01 1.8t A4. Belt broke at 6000+ rpm, bent every valve and heavily damaged the pistons. He had 102k on it. Now he has a $6000 reminder to do it on time, next time around.

Just thought I would let you guys know!!

I think your advice should have read "DO YOUR TIMING BELTS BEFORE THE SCHEDULED INTERVALS!!!!
If you read the '01 A4 owner's manual, the scheduled interval for TB replacement is 120K miles.
The advice is not to wait this long and do it at 60K miles or every 4 years, IMO.
