What mod comes first depends on whether you want show or go. If you want some go I think your first mods should be rear sway bar, turbo back exhaust, and K&N filter. Enjoy your new ride.

suspension and a chip all in one go
A chip can give upwards of 25 hp for around $500 which is pretty amazing. A chip is the best bang for the buck for your 1.8t http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

You're probably going to get about a million answers on what mods you could do to your car first. Just spend hours and hours on vortex like the rest of us do, and you'll figure out what you want.
But, if you can't figure out what you want, we'll all tell you what we think anyways!

congrats on the purchase!
suspension really does make a big difference!
intake + DV makes the car sound nicer
chip gives your car more power
now that's about $1,000 mod already

Suspension right now. Then around 1000 miles, chip the beast!
