Hey guys, cars been driving good for 600miles so far on my new suspension, i wanted to give it time for everything to settle and whatnot before getting an alignment.

I went the the dealer and they charge $79.99 for a front wheel alignment and 124.99 for a 4 wheel alignment, does this sound over priced? do i need the 4wheel?

That does seem alittle high. If your going to get an alignment do all four. The only thing that can change is TOE In/Out.

I lowered my Jetta 2 inches with 30 miles on the odometer and now have 33,000 miles and I never had an alignment done. I put 25,000 miles on my Toyo FZ4's and there is still some tread left.

you just need the front.
the rear has no adjustability so it's useless/pointless to do the rear. also, most racks require the operator to get a reading for the rear wheels so you'll still get the rear numbers.

Really? so u think the $124.99 thing is a rip? $80 seemed high to me for just the front

they can't change anything on the rear, so why pay to have them even check it? It is what it's going to be.

Ikno the camber is fixed but what about toe in/out?

you can not adjust ANYTHING on the rear. Camber, toe or caster. The only thing you can really adjust on the front is toe.

go to sears or something and get it done for like 60 bucks and like everyone has said the REAR is NOT adjustable.

Right...you dont have to go to the dealer to get it done.

Re: (DMehalko(DM))

Don't bother unless it's BAD. (check your tires for un-usual wear, is it pulling enough to cause an accident, etc)
I took my car to a few places, and no one would even attempt to align it because it was too low. When I finally got it onto a dealer alignment machine, the "BEST DAMN ALIGNMENT YOU CAN GET! HE DOES RACE ALIGNMENTS!!!!"

"OK, cool"
they couldn't even meet the beams. They finally got it and all they could to is change the tow, less than 1/10th of a degree. Waste of 4 hours and 80 bucks. As everyone said, you can't adjust camber alignment. I Think ECS sells an adjustable something or other that helps out. Not sure

I'd highly reccomend a front alignment after the suspension has settled http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Which it has http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
I'll just go get the front done
