k04 vs. k16 question/ need help

Are these two turbos interchangable?
would a k16 work on a 06 passat?

i know you will need a new exhaust mani flange.. and from there you decide what to do tuning wise... also the compressor inlet is a lil bigger on the k16.. and i bit more output
