there ARE differences in the kits. they list the components for each kit as well as HP/TQ ratings. if i was going to put a stageIII kit on my S4 right now.......it would be the AWE kit. they seem to have been doing TONS of R&D and have been coming out with some real quality components for the S4. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
the only k04 kit I know of is the Awe kit, which I might be getting since I need a new turbo anyway. AWE is an excellent company with outstanding customer service http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
I'd go with AWE personally. OCT, APR, MTM, AMS, Forge, and others also have K04 kits. The AWE kit is reasonably priced, well-tuned, and w/o the optional exhaust headers (decrease spool time), the price is just a little over $4k.
Don't go with AWE, still trying to work out many bugs. IE, fuel injectors, programing, etc. All stage 3 kits use the RS4 KO4s, unless you throw down some extra cash for a modified KO4. Sportec has had great results. Run a search on Audiworld and you'll find tons of good information. Depending on the year of the car, I know the M box with Aprs setup has shown great results. I, however, am leading towards Sportec. A shop call Autosportwerks is about 5 min from my house in colorado. They've turned out 5 or 6 of the sportec stage threes and the cars are rediculously fast. They're website is autosportwerks.com. Hope this helps.
his info says he has a A4 1.8T, everyone keeps telling him about S4 k04 upgrades. For a 1.8T k04 upgrade, I'd say AWE is the way to go. If you're looking for more power APR or PES would be the next logical step.
