Hi-
I just installed Koni Sports and H&R springs on my 93 VR6 and it looks GREAT!
Problem: It rides AWFUL. I have had (and still own) lots of cars that are lowered... in fact, the 58, the 65 and the 01 are all lowered. None of them ride like this. The fronts are on Full soft, but I don't know where to adjust the rears... any suggestions? Do I have to take them back out, push down, then rotate the shafts counter-clockwise? That's what Ive heard, but no soild info...
Is it simply because these are Koni Sports?
Should I set them soft or so you think that maybe they need to be set harder than they are? The car does not bounce over bumps, it feels like there's NO suspension-- like a gokart. I can't tell if the springs are overpowering the shocks or viceversa.

Also,
I installed Mintax Red boxes with ATE Power rotors (stock ATE for rear).
I didn't open the system at all, but the pedal is very mushy now. The pedal was firm before I did this. I suppose they need to be blead, and I should probably flush the fluid while I'm at it.
Any other causes for a mushy pedal? This is the first ABS I've done brakes on... Could that be related?
Thanks!

Re: Koni Sport/ H&R suspension-- brake pad/rotor install... (vortexblue)

Had this exact setup on my 95 - and yes - it rides rough. You need to set the Koni's to a softer setting. (its a pain for the rears - you need to remove them to adjust them)
I now have Neuspeed springs, but the ride is the same..
I have the exact same brakes too - if you bleed them, they will feel better.

I was thinking about doing this setup but Koni doesn't list this specific package for 93-94 VR6. I have the sport kit which came with Koni springs and they are stiff but as they get older the will loosen up some. You are supposed to use the softest setting, then after using them for about a month exercise them through settings. In the winter they can be very brutal if they are hydraulic or do you have gas charged?

Follow up:
I removed the rears and set them to Full soft.
What a world of difference. It went from feeling like a corolla with cut springs to feeling like an M3--- firm but livable.
The brakes are actually starting to feel better... I guess it takes a while for these things to bed. I'm gonna flush the fluid and bleed it anyway...
Thanks!
