Mileage on the Kumhos are pretty decent. Just don't think of them as an "ultra high performance" tire like some places advertise. If you want cheap replacements that are tons better than stock, but not exactly the top of the pile, then get 'em....

Thanks for the replies guys. I actually bought MM spiders w/kumhos and about 6k miles on them. When they go I will be replacing them with some higher qulaity tires. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

It's interesting to see the amount of people replying to threads concerning the Kumho tires. However, you begin to wonder how many of them have actually ever used the tire...

I will be purchasing my new wheels and tires (Kumhos) shortly, so once the Spring rolls around, I'll slap those puppies on and post my opinions. I'm purchasing them for the reason that they're cheap, and all I'm doing is driving around town.

Edit: spelling...

Hey, I've had Kumho's for a while. 205/40R17. Decent tread life, decent traction (not so great in the wet). For the price, they are unbeatable. I would say treadlife for average driving is in the low 20K range.

Yea, I mean, Kumho's are only the tire used in Formula 3 International series, and the choice of some FIA WRC teams, OH aaand tons of SCCA club racers across the nation. They are complete crap

Another one of those peoplewho believe since it costs more, it must be better

Yes but you are talking a racing tire that cost 500-1000 a piece and a car tire that cost $73-$110 if you want a decent tire at a great price get the Sumitomo HTRZ II, great traction in dry/wet, good tread life and alot better in the twisties....

Re: Kumho Tread Life?? (tastydub)

I've run my Kumho's now fr about 12k and I love them. For the price, there's nothing better, and a lot of others that are more expensive don't offer any greater benefit. If you're not racing really and you just want a tight, sporty tire, this is the way to go.
