[Norm95]

I'm aware that the JH engine came with a larger air flow sensor than the EN-EH engines in the MK1 sciroccos. However, these engines were CIS-Lambda, and mine is not. Was there ever a larger air flow sensor/fuel dist. that did not have a frequency valve?
What are the actual sizes anyways?

1.5, 1.6 and 1.8 used 80mm. 1.7 used 60mm. You can use either with or without lambda.

At least some 1.7's came with 80mm, my 83 Scirocco did.

I have an 81 Roc' and it has 80mm, in fact I have yet to own or see a car with a 60mm housing. Look at the list below, 2 EN's and 2 EF's I think and the 1.7 is FN? Don't know about you guys down there though.

83 rocco should have a 1.8 and therefore 80mm sensor.

They started putting 1.8L into the rocco's mid-year quite a few 83's were produced with 1.7's
