late power surge on launch !

When I launch the car it takes a full second b4 all the power rushes through. But its a suttle launch. Not like high pre- reving before I shoot off. With high pre-reving i dont have that problem. But sometimes you dont want to look like your over doing it at the lights before you race a guy. Does anyone know what i mean?
anyhow so if you get the situation I'm in and know theres a way to tune it to be more responsive please tell......hehhe.......in the past as in a few months ago I didnt have this problem.
