Another trip to Atco but this time I finally figured out the sweet spot with launching with my current setup. Same mods as last sunday in Atco with the exception of dragging with stock much lighter 15in avus wheels at all 4 corners.
Engine Mods = GIACversion4, PES dv, Atp dp/custom dumptube
15in stock avus rims Michelin Energys crappy All season tires, no spare tire, no backseats, no race gas just good ol 93oct, power steering was still on, stock airbox, lower tire pressure to 23psi during the 13sec pass.
My first few runs were pretty much consistently in the 14.2 to 14.1 range with 60fts 2.3 - high 2.2 happy with the improvement from last week but still wasn't satisfied.
But finally I got it all put together

Finally attained my goal of hitting 13s with k03 on street tires on a pretty much 99% street trim except for the uncapped dumptube but I drove during one weekend with it uncapped so technically its 100% street trim

what exactly do u mean by disconnecting your dump valve? do u mean you took off one or more hoses off your bypass valve? please explain what exactly you mean and what you found it does for your car.

i believe rich has a 'cap' at the bottom of his DP that he can remove, essentially making his exhaust a DP only... a few vortexers in the area have this setup....

Congrats again. I kind of regret that you run with the ASR on the last run--my tires(street 215/50/15) have always given me .1-.2 better 60 foot. So a 13.7 was so close

Anyway, you ran incredible times today.
By the way, Rich was one of the fastest imports today at Atco.

I definitely recommend a dumptube setup to anyone, especially for a budget concious racer like myself. This could quite arguably be the cheapest yet effective route to 13s. Good night guys!

Mike, would a dumptube help someone with a 3" DP and no cat??

I'm sure it would, especialy if they don't have a 3" cat back.
If any one wants a 3" dump w/cap/race pipe, let me know. All you ATP and chris green DP guys, this would be a direct bolt on.
edit: it would use the same 3 bolt flanges and bolt between the DP and race pipe.

Would a better design for the Dump be about 5 inches forward so that the dump is in line with the most verticle part of the tube so the exhaust gets a straght shot out of the tube instead of making the quick "S" that it has now.
