Well I ripped mine out along with the charcoal canister... I was having problems filling up on gas continuously and this solved it. Now I have a CEL of course. Anyone have recommendations on resistor strength? Or can I just jump the pins? (I think the plug has 3 pins.)
For anyone interested this is very easy to do:
I jumped two of the pins from the plug - one of the outside with the middle one. It's 50/50 to get it right and the CEL does not come on anymore. As for the three breather lines left that run to the tank, I put one way valves on the two smaller lines (arrows pointing to atmosphere) and a breather filter on the large diameter hose. Everything works great! No auto turn off at the pump and no CEL for the LDP.
