HELP! My 84 Jetta Gli leaks from under the dash I'm guessing on both sides of the car and fills up with water everytime it rains! I've heard of the problem being caused by debris building up under the hood, where is that exactly and what else could it be caused by?

is there supposed to be some sort of sealant or gasket for the screen covering my fresh air intake?, mine doesn't seem to have one.
