Ok, so about a month ago I posted up that I was getting a bad vibration only on right hand turns. It was quickly locked due to arguing, but I still have the problem. I have put on a different set of tires, all the lugs are tight, and my suspension appears ok. It's not a rubbing issue....any ideas?

Any input/help is much appreciated...and yes, I've tried searching, but most threads never had resolution

Re: Let's try this again...vibration when turning right (independent77)

Wheel bearings are all new, and I checked the back since that is where it feels like the vibration is coming from. I'll check the front, but again, they are fairly new http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
Strut bearings are pretty new as well, but I'll check those too I suppose http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: (BlownM3)

Well one of my tierods was complete junk, so we replaced those, and the noise is still happening. My axles were replaced 4 months ago. Here are some more of the vibration symptoms:
Happens when accelerating
Happens harsher after hitting a bump/dip
Happens if I take right hand turns
Doesn't happen much at all if any on left turns
If my foot is off the gas, it wont happen
Does not happen when I'm in neutral/clutched and rev
Any idea guys, I'm stumped

Could it be my tranny mount?

Re: (97SequoiaVR6)

same exact problem here. my bearings are screaming, so i'll change 'em soon and see if that fixes it (i doubt it).
i make a new thread about it every few months, no one knows the answer.
Do you get any squeaks when driving slow/ and turning ?

I actually have just started noticing little squeaks when driving slow/turning, so yes, I do.

Re: (JRon24)

Have you eliminated anything so I dont go checkin ish that I shouldn't be checkin?
Oh, my wheel bearings are fine, quiet, so I don't think that will fix it. But you should probably change them anyway

did you replace the inner or outer tire rods, i had a similar problem, and it was the right inner tie rod.

Well since the problem happens on right turns, I replaced the drivers side inner and outer tie rods. Didn't do the passenger side though.

i tried 2 different sets of wheels, 15s and 17s, still does it. I did new tie rod ends a couple months ago.
i've been thinking it's a control arm/bushing problem. you did new axles, so that can't be it.
about my bearings.....ehh, maybe.

Honestly, it sounds crazy but...
I'm gonna call the exhaust system has some stretched hangers. Think about it... It only happens when going right. It happens over bumps and only under acceleration when the rear suspension would be compressed. Check your hangers particularlly the one before the resonator and the one right behind the axle. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif I'm willing to bet it is your problem.

Re: (97SequoiaVR6)

just speaking from my experiences, not like i am a pro suspension guy or something
could be assortment of things, make a run down list. You say a few things were changed to new parts, but were the other parts that go with those changed also, like the hubs were changed when the bearings were changed? OR the inner flange seal when the axles were changed?
It could be an assortment of things
Control arm bushings/loose bolts/nuts : Retorque everything to spec just to make sure nothing is loose, one small bolt could give the nastiest vibration, you can go on and on replacing parts ,but if that one bolt is never replaced ,whos to know. Also if the bushings inside the control arms are worn,it can also cause noises/vibrations.
Sway bar bushing/linkage,samething ,if the bushing is almost gone and its metal on metal,or its not torqued to spec,it can cause some irregular feedback.
Wheel bearings/hubs/knuckles,all three must be checked, the knuckles are rarely replaced because they are sturdy, but the hubs should be replaced when the bearings are, because if a bearing is worn and is siezing up at all,it can cause pits and irregular wear on the inside of the hub,so even if you put a new wheel bearing in,its not going to matter, its still going to cause problems right away....and eventually mess up your knuckle if it shakes so much it gets loose and starts grinding around.(happened to me a few times)
axles, when changing axles,ALWAYS you gotta make sure to check the inner flanges on the tranny, check to see if they are tight and rotate properly, there are C clips that hold these on,after time they expand/wear and there causes play on the axle shaft and tranny, this can also cause a certain vibration in certain situations. The inner flange axle seals/C clips should be replaced everytime an axle is replaced. And most important the outer axle nut must be torqued to spec, around 189ft/lbs,"getting it as tight as you can" isnt a good option,so maybe the previous time the work was done to your car,it wasnt done thoroughly. And you are having some of these problems.
Ball joints/tie rods,if any of these nuts are loose that hold down the tie rods and ball joints, you can get a vibration, check torque specs,if there is any play in the outer tie rod, replace the inner no questions asked, having a worn inner and brand new outer can cause an uneven balance of steering response and if you do hit certain bumps/dips,it can cause something to get out of wack.
engine mounts, these are CRITICAL for torque specs, and make sure they are not busted, make sure all of them are torqued down properly http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
wheel/tires you said you already tried a new set/balanced etc etc...ok

so all in all it could be alot of things lol my guess is something is loose if you have been replacing all sorts of stuff left and right.

That doesnt sound crazy, because thats what I was thinking at first. I dismissed the idea because its a pretty good vibration, and I thought it would be something a little more severe than that. But I'll check that, thanks http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
