Ok, we all know there's a million brands of coilovers. Lets try and make a list of all of them and the advantages and disadvantages of them.
H&R coilovers - 3 (more?) different kinds. Low, super low, and scrape-on-every-pebble low.
Weitec - adjustable and non-adjustable.

whats a coilover? whats a volkswagen? i thought we used apc coil sleeves on our handas hahahahahahaa....

do you guys know which ones have which features? maybe how low they'll go and pricing, if possible.

B+G I believe have damping adjustments as well as so do the Apex units.
I've priced both (awhile ago) and the pricing for both were about the same, and comparable to H&R, and KW price wise.

Weitec Coilovers will lower from 20-75mm, and can be had for $900. They come in height and dampening adjustable, or just height. The $900 price tag is for fully adjustable.
H&R Coilovers come in three flavors; Ultra Low drops the car from 2.5"-4", Ultra Ultra Low drops the car as much as 5", and the normal coilovers will drop the car 2" in front and 3" in the rear. They only come in height adjustable and cost from $1,100 to $1,400.
KW coilovers come in two flavors, Variant I and Variant II. Variant II is height and dampening adjustable while Variant I is only height adjustable. Variant I cost $1,100 and Variant II cost $1,350.
FK coilovers come in two flavors as well; the dampening and height adjustable Konigsport and the only height adjustable Highsport. The height adjustable ones cost $950, while fully adjustable run $1,200. These used to be able to be bought at an even lower price from Lopes on the VWvortex, but I'm not sure if this deal is still going on. A special grease (included now?) must be applied to these otherwise they will be noisey. Fully adjustable use KONI dampners.

I do not know the lowering rates for either of them though.
IMHO, I'd go with one of the better known brands ala H&R, KW, Weitec, FK

I would also like to know how the ride quality is affected? Maybe a rating system 1 being the softest and 10 being the roughest? I'm particularly interested in the bilstein PSS System. PSS's or PSS9's.

Is that all the lower they go in the front? I am thinking about getting H&Rs but I think I will want to go lower than 2" in the front, maybe 2.5" or so

Those lowering specs for the H&R Coilovers are from Potterman's site. If you want to go lower, then get the Ultra Lows. If you want to go really really low get the Ultra Ultra Lows.
