This post is to address the 1500 to 2000 people that Carlitus says don't like Eurotuner. If what Carlitus says in the letter is true and there are a large amount of vw enthusiats that think the cars featured in this magazine are "going for the Japanese look" then these people need to get a clue about the Eurolook. Carlitus goes on to mention that these people would rather buy Performance VW. He says that if the magazine is going to call itself Eurotuner, "then how come I don't see the Euro look (dumped to the weeds, 14x9 deep-dish wheels)."
Well, the Euro look is definetly not dumped to the weeds, 14x9 wheels. If you look more closely to the cars coming from Europe (not England) then you would see that the Euro look is about clean lines, subtle body mods and 17, 18 ,or 19 inch wheels. BMW and Mercedes are going with a deep-dish look, but still very large diameter. The cars that Carlitus and friends consider the Euro look are nothing more than the Lowrider look from America applied to VWs in Great Britain. If you take a look at the even the latest issue of Performance VW you can see that a majority of the cars featured are running 17s or larger, not 14s.
If you want the Lowrider look on your VW, go for it. But you can't criticise Euortuner for the cars they feature. Those cars are exactly what the Euro look is all about. " That's my two cent."
