The Roof laights are Hella FF700's on the inside & Hella 500FF's on the outside - mounted to the rack via some small aluminum bars & some u-bolts. A Fishing boat Troling motor Deck connector was used to get powwer throught the roof.

Hella E-Codes - from Rallylights.

nice nuts!

thanks! I find that some people install nuts that are tasteless and offensive (and plastic)
I prefer Bold - Artistic - Functional nuts (of steel)

they serve as a great place to quickly hook the tow strap when i need to pull my friends busted GMC 2500DH up a hill.

love your car...
cant remember, isit synchro?
post some pics with a normal golf on the side lol

This one is not Syncro - Ben & I are currently converitng his Dark Red 4-Door to syncro. I wouldn't want to push this kind of torque through the syncro system. The VR6 clutch already has a strong distaste for me.

I already have the next project Golf II 2-Door with 89k miles that has never been hit. It will be getting a TDI & some other AWD Goodies...

& i will get some pics up of this with another golf... In fact i think my friend posted some in another one of my threads.

how slow it that thing

Ummm.... well - it's amost entirely useless in first gear - so i guess in first it's soooooo slow it isn't going to go anywhere when you floor it.
& these tires are no longer in production - so i don't do that.
I guess it's quite fast? depends on what you thing fast is?

Very nice! I wanted to do that to my 85. Do you think the taller tires are killing your clutch?

I think the TDI cranking out over 300 LBS of Torque is killing the clutch.
under most conditions it just accelerates - but if i am in 5th & have a trailer - or a load & a hill & i keep my foot on the floor at about 2000rpm long enough i can smell clutch a little bit. I have not been able to plot it with the VAG-COM yet as i havn't got access to it right now.
The tires only kill the fuel milege.
& so does the lift - & the roof rack - & the fact that all of the body under the front bumper is removed - & maybe the way i like to drive it.

I'm gettin about 33 - 36 mpg depending on how i use it.
- & that's incredibly bad for a TDI

hmm my buddy has a 2.9 VRT on 25psi.. and a stock clutch has been fine.. maybe its because it spins the tires till 4th gear?

EDIT: oh yeah, and too bad your golf wasnt syncro, that would be even more badass, and fun

Syncro would hate the torque. The nezt one will be Haldex.
