Re: Locking Gas Cap? (VRTT)

There was a thread on this not too long ago. Can't we lock our gas doors? I did it by mistake once on my 2.0 and I had to look up how to unlock it.

probably any auto parts store or mega store auto isle.

the "stock way" to lock your gas is by the actuator pump which became unavailable after 96.
easily installed, tap into the air lock pump system http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: (Dj X Tremek 1)

this is actually the first mod i did to my 98 jetta 5 years ago when i had replaced my early 96 jetta which had an actuator..

2 small phillips screws, some fishtank airline hose and a t valve..zip tie the hose out of sight,... there you have it, locked up gas.

Easiest mod ever http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
It took me 15 minutes to take the one off my parts car and install it on mine

I think they stopped putting them on cars the same time they started crimping the vacuum hoses to the fittings rather than using the rubber joining pieces.

Re: FV-QR (BonusParts)

Installed the actuator yesterday that I got at the junk yard. Took 10 min to do and it works great. Thanks for the tip http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
