Looks like a Neon with a fancy front end and a spoiler. Thats not a bad thing.

I saw pictures of this car (I bet it was the same one) from the Sno*Drift Pro Rally in Atlanta Michigan from a few weeks ago. It wasnt in the rally, but just there looking nice. Personally I like the evo V the best, but if someone gave me a VII I'd learn to deal

that car is the $hit. I've been saving to buy a car but, have never actually done so. I got close to getting a scooby WRX, but something held me back, and I stayed faithful to the dub. When I found out the Evo7's were coming to the states, I knew The Evo 7 would be the car to make me cheat on the dub.... *Can't wait!

Note the black mirror housings, stereo blank plate, manual window cranks. Looks like this is the Lancer RS. The seats are some Mirage seats, they are intended to make the drive from the dealer to your Rally Prep Garage bearable. Cause you should have some Sparco or OMP carbon buckets waiting to install. No floor mats either, cause that's just one more thing to throw out. but the seats don't look too good. [HR][/HR]

I've heard that the Evo VII WRC car isnt even based on the Lancer. If I remember right, its made from the Cedia (or something) because it has more suspnsion travel. Then they add the body panels and all to make it look like a lancer, sell the minimum number required for homologation and hope people buy the lancer evo VII.

"WRC" class does have slightly different rules than "GRP A" class (near stock), but the Lancer WRC is definitely based on the Evos...
You might also be thinking of the Carisma GT, which is a rebadged Evo. Mitsu would have two cars in a WRC event, but one of them would be labelled a "Carisma GT" because in some markets this body shape is known only as a Carisma. This way, in those markets, they can say the "carisma" is a world rally champion race car...

Hmm, nah. The Lancer Cedia is basically what we are getting in the US now, a compact econobox. The Evo has always been a homologation rally car. Tons of privateers buy an RS and race them and win, even in the US.
