Re: looking for race track rulebook (katman)
so i went on a little trip to jrp performance in oakville,in the back there is a tunershop with one employee, jason i think.he has alot of experience with euro stuff.i asked him about the battery relocate issue, mounting a fpr on the firewall and some other stuff.he said the battery can be mounted in the passenger compartment, only if its spillproof, for example, braille mini-batteries and spiral core batteries but must be fully secure/bolted down.fpr is ok on the firewall too.
this is for solo and ihra 1/4 mile tracks,so dont quote me on anything else.
whats in the shop??fully caged audi tt with 034 standalone,2 or 3 audi a4's,porsche 944 turbo caged,couple drag hondas/acuras.
as for going to buy anything from jrp, prepare to get buttraped http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif there is a box of clearance stuff in the front and one large box of unorthodox racing pulleys,i asked the guy at the counter about them and he said with a wink
''all that stuff in there has gotta go,cheap''.so i scrounge through the boxes and find a crank pulley for a 1996 passat 1.8t,im thinking ill slap it on my jetta for sh*ts and giggles,i ask him how much,he says $200
i just walked out of there laughing.
if anybody here needs underdrive pulleys for older supras, escort gt's,acura's,mk2 golf/jetta's,1996 1.8t passat/a4's they are there.you will still be paying 'his cost' on them but as far as im concerned, they can sit there and collect dust for another 12 years.
