I remember someone posting about the leaky PCV system on our cars(located under intake manifold), and a potential test and fix with some kind of check valve replacement...anyone remember this???

Re: Looking for that post about the bad check valve in PCV system (tyrolkid)
I don't think we have PCV valves? I'm not positive, but I was talking to an Audi VW mechanic. We have a crank case ventaliation, but I couldn't find a PCV valve. I think the one way check valve is the part that connects to your intake next to your DV.
Re: Looking for that post about the bad check valve in PCV system (tyrolkid)
The part number to which you refer is 035 103 245 A. Appearrs to be a "PVC type" check valve. My dealership has no experience with related problems.
Regards.

Guys it was me
what do you need to know?
I'm running with the manifold vacuum section disabled( filled up the failed PCV valve w/jbweld) with no problems so far. Left the rest of the connection same as stock.
The PCV valve is located at the inverted T juction running under the manifold. A hose comes out of the top of the filter to a T then it runs to the intake hose after the MAF(hat looking thing). This also y's to the valve cover. The culprit #6
Re: Looking for that post about the bad check valve in PCV system (9VW23yrs)
what's the deal with this valve, i remember reading that it can be potentially dangerous if it was bad? also if i got you guys a part # could you tell me the info on the car it goes to?
Re: Looking for that post about the bad check valve in PCV system (tyrolkid)
Had a check engine light not to long ago. The stealership fixed it free of charge, and I'm pretty sure that's what they replaced. Shutting that thing's lead to the intake would certainly help. I don't want all that crap collecting in my IC...heat soak
Re: Looking for that post about the bad check valve in PCV system (tyrolkid)
Ok, I have a slight bit of oil at the T. Hardly enough to notice, but is it supposed to be there? Also, I cant see the valve, is it in the T itself? My car runs fine, but I did notice some oil on the bottom of the N75 valve when I replaced it. Seeing that those clamps are a pain to remove, can I just cut the hose and block it off? Has anybody else had a problem with this? I dont enjoy working my car for the fun of it, but if that valve is bad mojo, then I want to fix it.
Re: Looking for that post about the bad check valve in PCV system (SlvrBllt)
That valve #6, is or will be bad Mojo for us, it leaks right out of the bag, so when under boost you leaking past it, when it goes south you pressurise the crank case and blow a lot of oil through your intake. If you took it out and pluped both hoses, or glued it shut like 9VW did I think it's alright might be a little dirtier at idle but not a whole lot.
