Hey guyz! I'm looking for replacment bulbs for my Jetta (9007) but I want the closest look possible to HIDs. Ive seen some ricers around w/really blue bulbs and they arent true HIDS. I bought some blue bulbs from pep boys but at night, they only look a little whiter than stock. What are the bluest bulbs that I can find....will spend up to $50 - $100, no more. Thanx

Oh yeah, I went with the cheap Auto Zone, Pep Boys bulbs as well, Big mistake. Well I dont know if you would like these, but I have the APC Xenon BLue bulbs and I think they look awesome. But then again I had them in my Eclipse so you might say that I am too ricey, but I dont think so. They look really good, I get lots of compliments on them.

Ricey, no, not all. Thats is one thing that I dont mind moding, going fot the bluest lights I can find. I would do true HIDs if I had the EXTRA $ 700 - 1000 dollars to spend on my car, I just cant see myself spending that much om head lights. Id much rather use that money for some performance mods instead

Where can I get thoes lights? Do you have any pics? Is there a web site and how much? How do they look at night? (my main concern)

I was looking at my cheapos and during the day when the car is off, they look blue cause the bulb is blue and reflects off the housing but at night I looked at them while they were on and they still had that yellowish look to them.

If you want to save your money for performance mods, why spend ANY money on bulbs at all? Blue ones are dangerous and illegal.

best bulbs i have used are made by polarg "euro white" they cost $120 when i bought them in nov 99 so far they still work fine, no fading cracking nothing. now i see them for $80, they are a bright white with a tad of pinkish purple, but the light they throe is pure white. by the way i use h4

all of these blue coated, superwhite xenon blah, blah, blah...are not worth the $$. they give you less light and looks fake. you are actually decreasing the amount of usable light, even though it looks whiter or bluer, essentially, it's like tinted windows. you tint your bulbs, less light will emit through the glass.
