Looking for tuner shops in Louisville KY ???
Do any of you guys have any idea where I can take my car for troubleshooting in Lou,KY. The dealer is not a lot of help here and I would rather get some real help for my performance needs.

What kind of trouble shooting are you looking for?? If performance items are what you need, and someone to install them, let me know, I have a little experience in this department

I have a Vag-Com tool if you are getting fault codes.
I can also make some suggestions as to qualified import mechanics.
Drop me a line.

I read your thread, and I totally understand, been down that road many times with my VeeDubs

I have even arrived to the philosophy that F*CK the dealership if they want to be so cowardly as to hide behind unsubstantiated assumptions, before at least extending the professional courtesy I expect after I have purchase a vehicle from their company. If after an unprejudice, professional inspection, it is found that there was potential neglect on my part by installing aftermarket parts....I will be responsible for that; I accept this responsibility when making the decision to modify my car in a manner that could, and I repeat COULD cause stress that would lead to failure; I want to make it clear that this COULD lead to problems, vs. VWOA's usual metality to us owners, that it HAS ALREADY caused the failure of the part in question;
To be perfectly honest, I am tired of this Guilty until Proven Innocent condition that seems to becoming more the rule than the exception in today's society.
Anyway Loco: I live over in the St. Matthews area, what part of town are you in???

Re: Looking for tuner shops in Louisville KY ??? (collier)

Now that is what I'm talking about. Lol, I just put my stock chip in this morning and I plan on sending it to another dealership with hopes of better service. I wish they would just replace the MAF I have been told by several people that was my problem.
Also I just seen your car Looks nice. We should hook up dude. I think we have a lot in common.
Thnx for the info.
I live in the fern creek area. I just moved from the St. Matthews Area.
I too have been working on VW's for a long time and love the car but hate the dealership service I'm searching for a good dealer you have any ideas where I should go ? I think next I'm going to Dixie High Way My aunt works there so that may be in my favor. I wish I could find a dealer that would work around my mods and not give me a hard time, I hate removing everything every time I have to drop it off.
We will haft to hook up some time If I can get away from the wife, Do you go to any shows ? I also have a 62 VW show bug, I have a lot of work into it but I have neglected it lately so I need to update some chrome and also needs parts here and there. Ill post a link if I can get some pics up.
Oh well, I just hope someone fixes it before the warranty runs out

I think that the best (most fair) dealership in the Louisville area to date, is Neil Huffman on Dixie. I bought my first VW from them brand new off the showroom floor 84 Rabbit GTI Black on Blue interior

We should get together sometime, and compare VeeDub war stories

I just bought my wife a rear wing for her Isotope NB, and it came in today; tomorrow is her birthday, and right now I am headed to the airport to pick up the inlaws............oh yeah, and it's Valentine's Day

Man, I just bought my dub at Clapp, right across the river. One of the salesmen at Huffman was a jerk to my wife (shame I was at work at the time
). I would like to know if there are ANY shops that do chip installations in the area, and possibly tubo upgrades?

The Winning Formula, owned by Mike Winebrenner (long time VW driver/lover) is where I would get any of my non warranty work performed.
He installed the Turbo on my VR6, as well as did some track preparation work on my Porsche 911.
He and I have been friends for a long time, and continues to do work that astounds me.
One of the most important qualities that he has is honesty.
He can be reached at:
