"Lewis is an aggressive and an uncompromising driver, whose reactions can be fierce. And at times they have been excessive," says Kovalainen.
"I've had to dodge his moves myself a couple of times, and I've made it clear to him that I won't be doing that indefinitely. If nothing changes, we're bound to have a collision between us at some point."

For next season, Kovalainen is also calling out for a different attitude towards him from his team.
"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that, barring one instance (British GP), I've had a heavier fuel load than Lewis in qualifying."
"If you want to have a shot at the championship, you have to qualify in the front row. Even after a good qualifying performance, I'm starting in 4th, 5th or 6th. That doesn't help your race at all."

FV-QR

I can see where he's coming from. He's in a gather points and play spoiler role. He can argue for a light fuel load during quali and try to see if he can post better times. I wonder how many times this season he's been on a heavier load than Hammie during q3.
Re: FV-QR (vdubjb)

the bottom line is.... mclaren is all about ron's toy called lewis hamilton. end of story. heikki is good but seems way off in the same car or is it, than lewis......... it was the same when alonso was there. as you can see this season that alonso brings the renault home all the time. we all know if that were a ferrari or mclaren he would be long since champion this year. alonso does not do stupid errors as the other clowns. i believe that they give a little extra somewhere somehow to lewis' car. if lets say rosberg went there, it would be the same thing. overall it is boring because all you here is lewis is that lewis is this and how great of a human or android he is and that there is no other human like that. it is boring. maybe he will get a cut tire in brasil and fall behind and massa wins........

Re: FV-QR (rscshakespeare)

The bottom line is Heikki can't keep up. He is slow and can't muster the pace to be on the same row of the grid as his teammate. Last year Alonso could match or exceed the pace of Hamilton but Heikki is clearly not even remotely capable of that. I was impressed with Heikki during the last half of his season at Renault and had much bigger expectations this year. For the most part, he has taken a step backwards (and it's not the fault of Ron Dennis). Ron Dennis would love for Heikki to finish ahead of a Ferrari now and then, it would help the team. Holding Heikki back would do no good for McLaren.
Re: FV-QR (MitStandardUndTurbo!)

I dunno, IMO Heikki is just as good as LH, but we never can truly know, only Mclaren does. As someone said, LH is the pet of Ron and Heikki will only be used to boost his confidence. Kudos to Heikki for sticking up for himself.
Re: FV-QR (MitStandardUndTurbo!)

that kinda talk is career save mode... Trying to keep his stock high.

To be fair, in the beginning of the season he had some extremely fast qualifying times (his bosses said so) and was doing well in races until he hit bad luck.
And then as the season progressed, his fast times went away and he looked like Kimi, uncaring.

...or better yet, his engine will blow...as he's going on second race on that engine and would be more prone to failure as opposed to Ferrari's fresh engines on both cars...
can you tell that i really want Massa to win???

Re: FV-QR (silverrbeast)

i think heikki is as good as hamilton, there have been more than one instance where that could be seen.. although no one will know for sure as long as he is wearing the silver outfit.. and like mentioned before good for him to stick up for him self, because he can fight for WDC if given the chance.. and the reason he qualifies behind lewis is to slow the pace of the other cars on the grid, giving lewis a better chance of widening the gap..imo

Substitute 'Ferrari', 'Jean' and MS,
Substitute 'Renault', 'Flavio' and FA
Your point is?
If Heiki thought he was hired to become WDC before LH, he's delusional.
If Heiki was as fast and consistent as LH, Mclaren would be leading the constructors championship.
Does Heiki think he would be allowed to beat FA at Renault?
So much sour grapes from a guy in one of the best cars, hmmmmmm.
