ok, i know youve all probably heard this question a million times, but i cant find anything about it anywhere in the forums. i have a 96 gti and want to lower it. how much lowering would be good for best handling and looks at the same time?

i would say about 2 1/2 inches would suffice.... but then again i obviously have no idea

o dear... cupkits are priced nicely ride pretty well. coilovers are a little more money and are adjustable. vmaxx are $699 iirc. depends on your budget and what your looking for. try searching archived threads as well. i find it hard to beleive that nothing came up for suspension searches.

for the optimal handling you want you control arms to be level......
there was a thread about this. check in the suspension forums.
BTW if you want great hanling characteristics go with shine racing but be ready to hand over the doh........

yea i definitly wanna get coilovers. adjustable.... any suggestions in the ways of good brand to buy that wont cost me an arm and a leg???

well the first thing i would do is look in the classifieds for some used coilovers, but i have heard pretty good things about the vmaxx coils if you want something thats new.
