MAF Failure??

My MAF is so loud that I can hear it inside the cabin even when the radio is on? Is this normal or is this the result of a bad MAF? I have a P-Flo installed, could this be part of the problem. Should i install the OEM airbox again B4 having the deal look at for warranty purposes ? The car seems to be running rich, have yet to check the o2 sensor.

What does a MAF sound like? It's an air sensor dude!

Maybe you mean you hear the engine through the intake ... that could be, and it's normal! The airbox also works as an intake silencer.

Did the sound only occur after you installed the P-Flow? If so, its your P-flow, not your MAF (its a sensor!)

Open the hood unhook the O2 sensor (its back on the left side) Then start does it run like it was before then its bad. If it gets worse then the 02 sensor is good

Sorry, I hear the engine through the intake, it is a loud ticking. I will check the O2 sensor, thanks for the tips.

Uh oh, loud ticking? How loud? If it's real loud, you may have bent a valve. Also, the injectors click somewhat too, make sure it's not that!
